Three ways to create Google Account for using Chromebook

You must have Google Account before using your Chromebook.

In general, you know that a Google Account is either a personal Gmail account or a corporate G Suite account. However, anyone can create a Google Account with your personal email account (such as Yahoo Mail, MS Mail, etc.) or your corporate mail account (such as david@mycompany.com) without a Gmail account.

Google Drive users often ask. “Can I do this by sharing my Google Drive documents with people who do not have a Google Gmail account (e.g., Yahoo mail, MS mail, or corporate mail) to collaborate?”

The answer is Yes.

If I do not have a Gmail account, can I use Google+, Google Drive, Search, YouTube, Google Maps, Google Play, News, and Calendar?

The answer is Yes.

Depending on the type of Google's service, the method of creating an account or the purpose of an account may be different, which is a common confusion for the average user.

There are three ways to formally create an account through Google service.

1. How to create a free Gmail account

Google provides 15GB of free storage. If you have a Gmail account, you can use it with one account: Google Drive, Calendar, YouTube, and Google+. Your Gmail account is the primary account for all of the Google services.

2. How to create a Google Drive account without a Gmail account.

Even if you do not have a Gmail account, you can still create a Google Account. If you do not use Gmail, but want to use only Google Drive, Maps, Search, etc., just visit the Google Account Creation site and select 'I prefer to use my current email address' in your username. At this time, if you input another mail account (eg Cooperate mail, Yahoo mail, etc.) instead of Google Gmail account, the message for authentication will be sent to that email address. You can sign up by checking the verification email in the message and clicking the verification URL. This account will be free of charge for Google Drive 15GB.

3. Create a G Suite (Basic or for Education)Account

Enterprise accounts are paid with $50 per user per year.
But G Suite for Education is free of charge for education. You have to create an account with your own domain. You will have your own email address for the domain. G Suite Basic service comes with 30GB of Gmail and Google Drive combined. (G Suite for Education comes with unlimited of Gmail and Drive). You can also use a variety of G Suite’s apps (Google Drive, Google Groups, Sites, Hangouts, Docs, Spreadsheet, Slide and Vault (optional)). You can sign up at https://gsuite.google.com/

[Security,Sync & Multi-login, Update for Chromebook]

1. Chromebook Security

Chromebook provides multiple layers of protection using the principle of "defense in depth." Even if one of the layers of protection is disabled, the other layers remain in effect, so take precautions to protect your data, you can use the Internet a little more peace of mind.
The following security features are built into your Chromebook:
Auto update
The most effective protection against malware is to keep all software up-to-date and to apply the latest security fixes. Existing operating systems provide different software components from different vendors, and update mechanisms and user interfaces are different, which can be difficult to manage. Chromebook automatically manages updates, so they always run the latest and most secure version.
Sandbox
On a Chromebook, all web pages and applications run in a restricted environment called a "sandbox." So when you visit an infected webpage on your Chromebook, it will not affect anything else on your computer, including other tabs or apps. The threat is being blocked.
Self-Test Booting
Your Chromebook will continue to be protected even if malware penetrates the sandbox environment. Every time you start your Chromebook, it will perform a self-check called "self-test boot." If it detects that a system has been misconfigured or damaged in any way, it usually self-heals itself without any extra effort and reverts the Chromebook to a new operating system.
Data Encryption
When you use the web app on your Chromebook, all your important data is stored securely in the cloud. Files such as download, cookies, and browser cache files may remain on some computers. Accessing these files is very difficult on Chromebooks that encrypt data using tamper-resistant hardware.
Recovery mode
If you experience a problem with your Chromebook, you can simply press a button or use keyboard shortcuts to enter recovery mode and restore your operating system to a safe version without errors.

Check out the video below to learn more about the simple and essential steps you can take to improve your security while on the go.
Sometimes a link or email leads to a fake site that locks the browser. These sites are called "robbery sites" or "rogue sites," and make you think that users should pay to continue using their computers. This is not true. After a few simple steps, you can unlock your Chrome browser and use your Chromebook again as usual.
Unlock Chrome browser
  1. Select your Chromebook from this list and follow the instructions to reset your Chromebook. If your Chromebook is not listed, press Refresh + Power on your keyboard.
  2. When you sign in to your Chromebook and open the Chrome browser, the Restore window opens.
  3. Click the X in the top right corner to close the window.
  4. Note: Do not click Restore. Clicking Restore will reopen the malicious webpage and lock your browser.
  5. Open a few websites and make sure your browser is working properly.
If your browser is still locked, learn more about restoring your Chromebook.

2. Chromebook Sync & Multi-login

If you use Chrome on your computer, smartphone, or Chromebook, you can sync bookmarks, history, passwords, and other settings you've saved from one device. Devices that use Chrome should use a way to sign in to Chrome to sync with each other.

Automatically sync your bookmarks, Chrome apps, and Chrome extension apps

One of the key benefits of a Chromebook is that you can use your Chrome browser's settings and history (bookmarks, history, passwords, installed Chrome extension apps, and other settings) using on other computers. Your Chrome browser experience on a Windows PC or Apple Mac is automatically synced when you sign in to your Chromebook.

You need a Google Account to do this. If you're using a Chrome browser or a Chromebook on different devices, you can sync information from your Chrome browser via Chrome Sign-In.

Even if you lose your device, or switch to a new computer or a new smartphone, you can still get past all of your previous history and experiences with your Google Account using your Chrome browser.

There are things to note when signing in to Chrome. Never sign in to the Chrome browser on a public PC or anyone else's computer. You need to sign in from a trusted Chromebook or computer.

Signing in with your Chromebook is like signing in to the Chrome browser on another computer. Logging in to your Chromebook automatically syncs all your experiences from the Chrome browser you used on other computers.

For instructions on setting up Chrome Sign-In on another computer or smartphone (Android, iOS), please refer to the 'Sign in to Chrome' Help.

How to login with multiple accounts

You may have multiple Google Accounts added to one Chromebook. Or, individuals may have multiple Google Accounts. If you want to go to each account during use, you can go to another account without logging out.

3. Chromebook Updates

[About Supporting Google Play Store on Chromebook for G Suite for Education domain]

If an administrator wants to manage a Chromebook through the G Suite Admin console, a Chrome Device Management license is required.

If your organization has Chrome Device Management enabled in your domain, you can manage your Chromebook through the admin console. You can also set up a Google Play Store that runs on your Chromebook through the admin console as Chromebooks that launch the Google Play Store are available.

In the admin console of the domain where the Chrome Device Management console is enabled, you can do Device management> Chrome> google play store settings.

Device management> Chrome> User Settings contains more information about Google Play Apps settings.

Unfortunately, "Android apps on Chrome OS enable is not yet available in the G Suite for Education domain at this time, even if Chrome Device Management is enabled in the domain using G Suite for Education.
But I expect this can be available soon in G Suite for Education domain.

[Tip] Send an automatic email response message to Google Forms

One of the most needed features of the Google Forms was that the respondent completed the form and did not know whether the form was received well. When the questionnaire is answered, it is recommended that the response message prepared automatically is delivered.

After conducting an event at a company or school, you may want to ask the participants of the event to evaluate the results of the event. Most of them do not have many respondents. The best way to do this is to use the method of sending the presentation materials to respond to "Event Satisfaction" questionnaires for event attendees.

In the meantime, we needed to implement a separate Google Spreadsheet script program to implement the question-answering functionality.

This spreadsheet add-on allows you to easily realize automatic e-mail response. The user can freely create an email auto-response message and automatically send a ready-made email response message to the respondent when the questionnaire is received without any Script programming.

You can install and use a free add-on called 'form Mule' in the 'Add-ons' of your spreadsheet.

How to use the image in the order shown below, you can easily send an automated response message.

1.  Add email address to questionnaire item

2. Create a response spreadsheet

3. In the spreadsheet, search for 'form Mule' in 'Add-ons' and install.

4. Perform formMule on sheet and set up Auto Responder

5. 5. Select "Form Response 1' sheet  and set "Send on form submit' as 'On'

6. In the Email template section, select the Email item in the questionnaire.

7. Create an auto-reply email message
(** To: If you click on the empty item and select the email address item on the right side of the questionnaire displayed on the right side, "<>" will be automatically entered.

8. 8. Finally, when respondents respond to the questionnaire, the following email message is automatically sent:

How to use Chromebooks for Student Assessments in School

In the United States, one Chromebook per one student is available. Schools use Google Classroom to teach all classes, and  also uses Chromebooks for examinations for student evaluations because of the one-person Chromebook provision.

School needs a Chrome device console to manage all their Chromebook devices in order to take the exam with their Chromebook. Chrome device management is essential, not an option, to distribute your Chromebook to employees or students in your company or school.

School can only enable Chromebooks for student ratings. Chromebooks work with multiple test providers, so you can prevent students from browsing the web and disable external storage, screenshots, and printing during the exam.

Chrome devices are a secure platform for managing student ratings and meet the curriculum test criteria from elementary to high school when properly set up. In February 2013, a pilot test developed by the American Research Council and the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium demonstrated the performance of Chromebooks for student evaluation. Read related blog posts.

There are thee Scenarios Student can take an exam using Chromebook in School.
Scenario 1: Setting up your Chromebook to run with a single app kiosk running a test app in school

Scenario 2: Testing provider sets up student accounts for assessment

Scenario 3: School sets up Public Sessions with student devices
